For the Berengo Foundation, C and C supervised the outfitting for the “Zaha Hadid” exhibit

The Berengo Foundation (Fondazione Berengo) has organised a special exhibit in collaboration with the Zaha Hadid Architects studio which will be open for view during the Architecture Biennale. The exhibit is a tribute to the architect who died suddenly last March, a woman whose distinct mark has revolutionised the world of design.
C and C has managed the technical direction of the exhibit’s outfitting, putting the experience acquired during the restoration of Palazzo Franchetti to use.

Zaha Hadid was the first woman to receive the Pritzker Architecture Prize (2004) and she used to describe herself like this: “As a woman, I am expected to want everything to be nice and to be nice myself…I don’t design nice buildings – I don’t like them. I like architecture to have some raw, vital, earthy quality”. (interview with The Guardian, 2006). The exhibit is an overview of her career and will arouse intense reactions from those who love her stark, suspended mark and from those who challenged her constructive solutions.

This event is well-suited to the environment of an Architecture Biennale and C and C is very pleased to offer its contribution.
